Dr. Hodge is a Professor of Education and the Director of Clinical Partnerships here at Capital University.

How many years have you been at Capital?
I started in August 1999 so this is my 21st year.

What is your favorite place/building/room at Capital and why?
My office #234 Ruff Learning Center is my favorite place. It is a place that is welcoming and my home away from home. Students can come in and feel at home and get their questions answered. (I have tissues and chocolate.)

What was a career-defining moment for you?
Opening the Fall 2019 Community Forum in prayer was a career-defining moment because it represented my love for Capital and the Capital community and allowed others to see my personal faith tradition.

Do you have a favorite comfort food or restaurant?
I love the House of Japan in Dublin. My favorite food is bread and sweet tea!

What is your favorite TV show/movie?
Queen Sugar is my favorite show. Akeelah and the Bee is my favorite movie.

Do you have a favorite music genre or artist?
My favorite music is Gospel worship music. “You Know My Name” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard is my favorite song and artist.

Do you have any pets?
I do not currently have a pet, but I LOVE Dogs.

What inspires or motivates you?
Seeing individuals develop the skills and confidence to reach their potential and find their purpose in life.
