Meet Dr. Steve Bruning, Professor of Public Relations and Director for the Convergent Media Center.
How many years have you been at Capital?
I’m in my 29th year at Capital.
What is your favorite place/building/room at Capital and why?
The CMC, of course! A lot of really creative, interesting, and exciting activity is taking place in this building.
What was a career-defining moment for you?
I love what I do so I can’t say there has been one career defining moment for me.
Do you have a favorite comfort food or restaurant?
My wife’s chicken pot pie.
What is your favorite TV show/movie?
I’ve had a lot of them over the years – right now I would say it is Schitt’s Creek.
Do you have a favorite music genre or artist?
Not really – I mostly listen to music from the 60s and 70s, country, and a little bit of contemporary Christian music.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have two dogs.
What inspires or motivates you?
Working with local professionals to create real-world experiences for Capital University students.
